Avtotor to start mass assembly of China’s BAIC BJ40 cars in July

KALININGRAD, Jun 27 (PRIME) -- Kaliningrad Region–based car producer Avtotor plans to start mass assembly of the BJ40 car of Chinese car producer BAIC, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

“The Kaliningrad plant Avtotor has started preparations for production of a new model of the BAIC brand, the BAIC BJ40. Several units of this SUV have been produced in a pilot mode at our plant as of today, and preparations for the launch of mass production are being finished,” the company said.

“The start of mass production of the new model is scheduled for July.”
